General

  • Forge is for anyone with a large network of relationships, whether those relationships are with clients, customers, colleagues, users, vendors, patients, bosses, friends, family, alumni… basically, as long as the relationship is with another human being then Forge can help you grow it.

  • Forge’s design and content leverages two key sources: first, the growing academic field of relationship and behavioral science; and second the empirical experiences and observations of many active large-network professionals and business experts. We find these sources overlap and integrate cleanly, permitting us to have very high confidence in Forge’s operation and recommendations.

  • Forge has been intentionally designed to create positive habits that promote trust building and relationship growth, and Forge’s AI works around the clock to find you natural opportunities to engage with your contacts. Engaging with these opportunities as Forge presents them will maximize your returns.

    Additionally, a helpful 4-part “formula” for building trust is to ensure you (1) follow-through on your commitments; (2) earn credibility with the advice you give; (3) guarantee privacy in all your conversations (including refraining from judgment); and especially (4) actively listen to make others feel heard and valued. While Forge is designed to help you continuously optimize all four of these traits, we also find it helpful to set aside time each week for intentional reflection on our performance in these traits and identify ways we can improve.

  • Forge’s design has been carefully calibrated to ensure your contacts always understand your genuine interest in them as people first. Appearing insincere in your efforts or “phoning it in” could cause lasting damage and is something we work hard to help you avoid. Specifically, too much automation can actually increase this risk so we ensure “human-in-the-loop” decision making within Forge. Also, while Forge greatly reduces the workload and “friction” of managing relationships, a small amount of user work is also desirable (a) for ensuring your awareness of your network’s activities, (b) for awareness of actions being taken in your name, as well as (c) to reinforce your recollection of others’ key personal details during live conversations.

  • We know you’re busy, so to keep you moving forward Forge streamlines your day by pulling together multiple insights about others just as you need it.


    For example, a person’s phone number can indicate where they live or grew up, so giving Forge access to your device’s contacts allows Forge to continuously search for any important news about that specific place.


    Also, knowing the schedule of who you’re meeting with and when means Forge can deliver you that information just when you need it.


    We find this insight discovery enabled by calendar and contact access makes relationship building so much easier that we use it ourselves!

  • Absolutely. We can export your data as a CSV file any time you like, even if you downgrade or cancel your subscription altogether. Please note that for security purposes export may be delayed by some time from your initial order.

  • Yes, and there are three easy ways to get in touch:

Technical

  • Both yes and no:

    • Yes: Forge’s purpose is to help you develop better professional relationships. We believe there’s no purer form of ‘Customer Relationship Management’ (CRM) than Forge, which is explicitly designed to help you build and manage personal relationships with your customers.

    • No: When many people hear the term “CRM” they think of platforms which we believe are more focused on sales activity reporting: e.g., focus on sales funnels, opportunity tracking, sales rep productivity tracking, etc. Forge doesn’t currently have those features, although we may add those and/or integrations in the future depending on client demand.

     

    Either way, the key purpose of Forge is to help you develop better human relationships to grow your business and strengthen your network, which will make your CRM entries look very good!

  • We hear you! Our team is hard at work integrating Forge with all your favorite services. Please send your requests via email and keep an eye out for updates.

Billing

  • There are no contracts and you may start and stop your subscription whenever you like. Please be aware that stopping a subscription may lead to loss of certain features or reduction in capacity you’ve come to enjoy however.

Security

  • Privacy and security are two of our core values. We live these values in two key ways:

    1. Our philosophy is if we don’t have a really good reason to ask for a particular type of information, we don’t collect it; and

    2. We employ best-in-class security measures, including encryption in rest and transit as well as many other confidential safeguards. All the data on Forge is encrypted under the 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard, and each encryption key is itself encrypted with a regularly rotated set of master keys. To protect your data as it travels over the Internet during read and write operations, we use Transport Layer Security (TLS).

  • No, our only revenue source is from user subscriptions.

  • Forge’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to 

    Google API Services User Data Policy
